Copper carbonate is a green powder that is used primarily as a glaze or slip colourant. Depending on firing conditions and glaze formulation it has the potential to produce shades of green, turquoise or reds (reds usually occur in reduction firings). Copper carbonate can also be applied by brushwork as a wash on bisqueware.
